Yes.
That's it.
Anarchy.
This has become
The way that we live:
An incurable curse,
Forcing us to fall in love,
Though I have yet to reach the edge
And I have yet to hit the bottom.
I am sure that this will come to pass soon,
Just as it always promised to do.
I will free myself of this soon.
Though for now I am alone,
Tomorrow, that may change.
I will be content,
Just as promised,
Anarchy,
For you,
Love.

The Place that I Stand Weeping
A chill runs through that forest,
Every moment of the day,
And the place that I stand weeping,
Is where I intend to stay,
Until the wind dies down, I promise,
I will stand and cry for you,
I will outlast the willows,
And each new morning's dew.
I will watch the sun that rises,
As it sets again that night,
And stare into the darkness,
To pretend that there is light.
Each word to write this poem,
Is meticulously crafted,
You deserve not but the best,
No matter how it's drafted.
So as I sing goodnight to you,
I hope that you will hear,
The love I masked inside my voice,
Says that I need you near.
The place that I stand weepin

What's one supposed to do,
When we know it's all around us?
Everywhere you turn:
Romance, call each other "mine,"
Days named after suicides,
Insecure, armed with knives,
Guns come out as quick as high-fives.
It seems we give no thought to those,
Who wander the street, no family, no home,
Haunted by the broken past,
No one knows how long they'll last.
Another smuggling, another theft,
Another murder, another death.
Not surprised to hear what's wrong,
The ticking of another bomb.
They don't watch through those red lights,
Could this turn into another street fight?
Watch the news about the war,
Who knows what we're even fightin
Let's go to another decade, or to another world,
We'll have a real front row seat, to watch history unfurl.
We can race Revere to Boston, we can take the West by storm,
Visit that old log cabin on the day Honest Abe was born.
Let's go to another continent, to see these amazing sights,
We can see the whole wide world, any day or night.
We can climb the wall in China, we can swim the salty seas,
We can walk down to the South Pole, and we'll never have to leave.
Let's go up to the heavens, let's go up to the skies,
We'll have the greatest vantage point, and when it rains, we're dry.
Let's climb the highest mountaintops, we can blast of
"The day has come, my dear son, my last blood, my dear, dear son." King Zos stared toward something that was not really there, and it was clear that his eyes saw just as much nothing as they held. His grip was still taut-his sword arm still strong-but Nevin could feel it loosening nonetheless. "Take this kingdom and finish my work! Save us from-" He coughed.
Before the king could speak again, Dau Lerry stood and cleared his throat. "Well, your majesty," he inserted himself into the conversation, addressing the prince, "your father needs his rest, it is time we be off." Nevin could see a strong glint of impatience in the High Priest's eyes,
They were the Ravens, and they ruled us.
We lived on the barren side of the mountain, in tiny huts that barely fit two people. Day after day, I sat, staring off the hillside toward their towering metropolis. I had often dreamed of visiting the Raven Tribe, to see inside their city. Of, course, I knew, it would never happen. I was only a Sparrow.
I let myself fantasize, I knew their weaponry was far beyond advanced to mine, and that they would never induct a Sparrow to their ranks, even as a slave. I was beyond low.
The others Sparrows of my village always spoke of the legends of the Raven Kingdom, as though they really knew. As such a

This year I managed to make all four honor bands that I tried out for. All-city was this weekend, and it was awesome. I was first chair alto sax in the all-city wind ensemble (which puts me at second overall in the city). I find it ironic, though, that of all the honor bands, all-city is the easiest to make, yet the music is BY FAR the hardest out of all of them. I made third chair alto in CSU, tenor in CU, and tenor in all-state, as well. :) That's exciting.
My college audition is February 11th, early in the morning. It determines my placement in the program, and (I think) my placement in the school ensembles, both jazz and classical/concer
I sent in one application. I was accepted. Top school... Only school, really.
I don't think I realized exactly how old I feel until now. Just four years ago, I was panicking to go into high school, and I felt so old and mature to be moving out of middle school and onto a whole new chapter of my life. Now it's like a new book, not just a new chapter. In less than four months, I'll be eighteen years old. In less than six months, I'll no longer be a high school student. I'll be moving out of the house I've lived in my whole life and into a dorm full of people I don't know. I'll say goodbye to my mountains and make the three and a half hour driv
This weekend, I started college applications.
I don't know why I thought I should write a journal about this, but it feels like a very big deal, and it's making me anxious. So naturally, I share.
Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. Been busy. Everything's been alright. Health issues have sort of evened out lately. I ended up having an emergency appendectomy in early March which sort of threw off school for a while. But lately things have been working out. I'm working for my school's newspaper and hopefully interning at the paper in my hometown this summer.
I just found out that the school I was hoping to transfer to didn't offer me enough money so I'm stuck in Colorado for school, but I think I'll live. The apartment hunting is no fun. It's tough to find a one-bedroom in a college town anytime between like March and September.
Congratulations on your wedding and I hope you had a fantastic honeymoon!!
I definitely understand the busyness. I just finally got enough time to try to sit around and get things done. Everything's been crazy! I'm glad the health situation has evened out.
Good luck with apartment hunting; it's never easy. And state school's aren't too bad. Because trust me, after college, no one cares where you went unless it was Ivy League.
Thanks! The honeymoon was great, so was the wedding. I am going through a bit of a rough patch right now, but overall, things have been looking up.
